Since 1995, archaeologists have been doing excavation of several of the famous giant heads on Easter Island, yet somehow this is the first I’ve heard of the heads having bodies buried underground. Not just plain slabs, but detailed, carved bodies buried deep in the dirt.
One of the most common arguments against same sex marriage is that “one man, one woman is the way it’s always been for thousands and thousands of years.” Yeah, but no. Humanity has and continues to practice almost every arrangement possible in the name of love, politics, religion and economics. While a man and a woman has been the most common due to biological impulse, it’s not everyone’s preference. Hell, between the 10th and 12th centuries, Christian churches had little problem performing same sex marriage.
Caught on a crabbing trip off the coast of Tasmania, Australia, this crab was so impressively enormous that he was saved a trip to the crab pot and instead given a name— Claude. And Claude will soon be moving to the UK, where he’ll live on display at an aquarium, hopefully living happy in his freakishly large crab life. He’s 15 pounds, but he’s not even full grown. By the time he’s done growing, it’s estimated he’ll weigh 30 pounds.

But for Saroo Brierley, it was serious business. He successfully used Google Earth to track down the village of the family he had been separated from for 25 years.
